1. At Dublin Brewing Company we’re passionate about beer. We’re committed to brewing the best beer in the country.

2. We’re the first independent brewery in Dublin for many years - and independent we’ll stay. Our ethic is to respect people and nature.

3.
We’re a craft brewery, our beers are handmade: we’re not a micro brewery, nor a brewing factory. We brew D’Arcy’s Dublin Stout, Maeve’s Crystal Beer, Beckett’s Dublin Beer and Revolution Red Beer. Our beers are made to traditional craft recipes - our drip mats will tell you more of our history.

4.
Because beer is a living liquid, none of our draught beers is processed or pasteurised. Our beers taste like the way real beer used to taste before breweries became industrialised.

5.
We use only the finest hops, malt and barley. While we work to keep prices keen, our craft brewed beer may cost a few pennies more. When price rises are inevitable,we’ll tell you why.

6.
We never use artificial additives, flavourings, colourings, or head enhancers. Our bottle labels will always carry a full list of our ingredients.

7.
No genetically modified ingredients have been, or will ever be used in our products.

8.
We will always draw our water from Ballymore Eustace in County Wicklow. Because of this water’s softness and purity it is ideal for brewing.

9.
We believe in conducting our business in an open fair and reasonable manner. Our policy is to establish excellent working relationships with our publican and retail customers. We are committed to providing the best in responsive customer service to the trade.

10.
Our brewery plays an active role in the Smithfield community.

11. Every employee has the right to halt production of any of our beers where the ingredients are not up to standard or where quality falls below 100%. If our beer doesn’t get past our chief brewer, it doesn’t get to you!

12.
Our success depends on you, the beer drinker. If for any reason you don’t like any bottle or pint of our beer, please don’t brood on it. Call into our lovingly restored brewery in Smithfield, Dublin, between 10 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. and enjoy a free pint on us. No ifs or buts apply to this condition.

Brewery Notice No. 2

Our contract with Ireland’s beer drinkers states that ‘when price rises are inevitable we’ll tell you why’

Please note: the price of our Beckett’s , D’Arcy’s, Revolution and Maeve’s beers will increase by 4p a pint in the trade from Monday 10th April

The reason: handcrafted beers are labour intensive, the cost of living is going up and we believe in paying a fair wage for a fair day’s work.

As a customer said last night when told of the increase
“Just as long as you don’t stop brewing it!”

Walter, our sales director, is pleased to announce that the ‘Party Keg’ is now available from off-licences and selected pubs throughout Dublin.

Please note: The ‘Party Keg’ holds 20 litres of draught beer (the equivalent of 40 large cans).

It doesn’t require gas, coolers, electricity or taps, so is ready to go straight off.

It is environmentally friendly as the keg itself is recycled and it comes with either Maeve’s Crystal or Revolution Red Beer.

if we seem a little distracted right now but D’Arcy’s Dublin Stout has been nominated for two awards in the brewing industry’s equivalent of the Oscars and the winners are being announced tomorrow.

Out of a total of 732 beers from 238 breweries in 40 countries D’Arcy’s has been short-listed in two categories in the Brewing Industry International Awards 2000 Millennium Competition in Burton on Trent, England.

Fingers crossed! Apologies if we seem a little ahm...

Brewery Notice No. 5

As a result of winning two medals last Tuesday for both the draught and bottle versions of D’Arcy’s Dublin Stout at the Brewing Industry’s International Awards Millennium Competition 2000 in Burton on Trent, England (Brewing’s equivalent of the Oscars) things just haven’t been quite the same around here over the last few days.

Please note: all celebrations have now come to an end and all work has resumed as normal. Sincere apologies for any inconvenince caused.
